Saturday I went to Temecula, California with a local photo club for their annual Balloon and Wine Festival. We arrived at 6:00 am and stay until about 8:00 a.m. Glad we were early as the balloons went up earlier than the 6:30 a.m. launch we'd expected. After some time at the venue, my friend Terri & I jumped in the car to see what other angles/views we could get. Some of my favorites were while trespassing up a private drive. No one else got shots of the balloons over the golden California hills in our group :-)

Whilst walking the East Coast cliff path between Sewerby and Flamborough, came across this row of pristine Harley Davidson Beasts basking in the sun on the grass in front of Flamborough Head Lighthouse, Managed to get a few quick shots in while the bikers took in some refreshments at the Lighthouse cafe before mounting their steeds and tearing off into the distance in a stream of glistening metal and roaring exhausts.
Pentax K-3ii with D-XENON 18-55 lens with a dash off Lightroom enhancement - heightened contrast and clarity and a little subduing of the hues to add a bit of a moody atmosphere to suit the subject.

WOW you guys and girls, awesome images in this weeks POTW. Stephen, you continue to make me envious with your fabulous train images. That last one is exquisite! And equally so with your shots EBirdy, after more than 30 years taking photographs, I am yet to get an image of a hot air balloon. Those are wonderful. Welcome Fizzio, to Pentax Forums, and POTW in particular. Wonderful crisp shots of those Harley's. I like the last one of the Harley's in particular, a different composition that works very well! Eva, I like those pedal engine bicycle shot, sepia works very well. Tried capturing some of those at a local Transport Museum, but a hopeless exercise, as there is too much clutter around, Stu (smf) I love that first shot, evoking some envy, as I have tried countless times to capture an image of that bird at local zoo's. They do not like me, and usually move off at any approach. Love the color rendition!.

A few more days before we move to the next POTW, so let's have some more!
