My apologies folk, this is late, but I have started a temporary job this month, so this slipped off the radar.
Starting us off- Friday 16th was a public holiday here, and as usual, I make my way to some nature reserve within striking distance- and for the umpteenth time, it was Rietvlei Nature Reserve..

Playing around with some Paint brushes at the new job

And a Macro of the fibres of a duster

Someone was flying a Drone at a local park

And at the same spot

Soon I will be accused of having a fetish for leaves

Hi. Not too many contributions this week but the quality is high! I particularly like the zebra, the River Neath and the fawn.

Yesterday I hiked up to Victoria Peak here in Hong Kong. It was hot, sticky and at times rainy (so the River Neath photo looks particularly inviting!). I had my K-5 and 16-85 lens and bumped into a guy carrying a K-1 and a 16-85. Pretty rare Pentax sighting (should have taken a photo of him!).

WOW you guys, fabulous stuff here!
Dave K- Do some more walks .
rhenry74, Welcome to PF, and POTW in particular. Lovely shot that, interesting composition.
aaacb- that is super! Looking up, or looking straight, Can't figure it out.
Mattb123- wonderful That fawn looks like it is trying to hide. But I like the surfer best, so intense that concentration.
Nosliwmit- thanks for making me envious!
Aslyfox, those are wonderful, well done.
Swanlefitte- Superb! what an interesting take on a macro shot of a Dragon.

Still some time before I start the next week's POTW.

Light park where from now on a "special" tree grows, which at night illuminates the surrounding area. The metal sculpture is equipped with several movable particles moving in the wind, and with artificial lighting, with its shape resembling a tree with a mighty trunk and a branched tree crown.
