Mine were taken with the K-1; all but the group one were done with the FA77. Cactus flash system, probably two lights for every one of them (I'm not using single light as much as I used to), and some collection of neutral density filters.

Our local heritage railway had a steam gala last weekend, the weather was not great...

the Topeka Zoo and Conservation Center has two Sumatran Tigers, one male and one female, this is the female quickly pacing its enclosure

the light and shadow changing is a result of the tiger changing position as it moved around the " enhancement " features placed in the enclosure

some time there is no light, other times, the light is on some part of the body but not another (side, ear, back of the face, even a leg ), and finally there is only a little glint of reflected light in the eyes ( more in its left than its right )

Puttering around the neighborhood.
This first one is an outtake from this week's photo challenge, flash freeze frame. Technically it's probably better than the one I submitted, but I thought the other one was prettier.


A couple of locals too worried about the rain to worry about the weirdo with the camera.


The first one is a photo from my Pentax, but the following two are screenshots from video from the same camera. The subject is a drill that hit a natural gas deposit and is now being turned into a decoration so it doesn't delay the light rail planned for the land strip it's located in.






Finally, but shot first, is a cute little night light I picked up at my favorite coffee joint.
