Welcome to POTW # 24

This week's photos will cover these dates: Sunday August 17th through Sunday August 31st.

Let's keep up the high standard of shots we have seen over the past weeks.

Rules as before:

1) No theme just your favorite stuffs.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week .
3) Any Pentax camera is fine, film, P&S, DSLR (or Samsung DSLR)
4) Runs for 7 days <Sunday August 24th> to <Sunday August 31st>
5) Enter anything you shot last week or this current week until the thread closes.

Previous hosts: 1 Peter Zack, 2 Eaglerapids, 3 rmtagg, 4 Peter Zack, 5 daacon, 6 Bramela, 7 mtnbearhug, 8 dantuyhoa, 9 gawan, 10 roentarre, 11 daacon, 12 Kris, 13 mtnbearhug, 14 SCGushue, 15 daacon, 16 maxwell1295, 17 dantuyhoa, 18 daacon, 19 maxwell1295,20 Bamela, 21 Syb, 22 & 23 maxwell1295, dantuyhoa , ???

Anybody is welcome . Feel free to comment on the photos if you like . We know sometimes we can't shoot even in a week ! TIA .

The Dancing Queen

I played around with it to portrait the energy of this beautiful lady . You feel like a Pentax Full Frame DSLR when you're around her .

Got this shot of my cat on my lap on Sunday night. She's doing what she does best - sleeping.

Tran - Thanks for the comments - another nice shot so many different looks from your modeling gig. Very good expression on her and nice PP

reeftool - thanks for the comments - it was 21/2 days road trip - hardley a vacation but some bonding time with my son and it was a blast - just was too short.

woof - good colors and composition a great start.

Frank - ha ha you captured the essence of cathood - nicely done.

borno - great colors in the first two. You have some great birds where you are.

James - thanks for the comments - ( I took one of the pictures anyway haha) yes indeed so much beacutiful country in the mountains. Wow that is a different take on the crucific - interesting indeed.

MrApollinax - nice series - good BW Love the statues , the crowd and the littel girl petting the horse - nicely done.

Georg - now that is dancing in the street ! Well done.

Nice shots everyone! I have been quite busy, so not many chances to visit the forum. But here are some from the "Night of the Arts" festival in Helsinki.

I really enjoy seeing what kind of photos everyone is working on recently, very nice stuff. For me, I just keep my camera with me and hope I get lucky from this a.m.

I took this one at the Buffalo Zoo on 8/24/08. Turned better than I figured it would. Probably my favorite from the day. EXIF info should be encoded within the picture.

Rosella (2nd attempt). Though he is sitting on a nesting box, this is a wild bird. Taken in my backyard.

Tran - nice upper shot - I find the position of her leg a little unatural something about this one I don't like - first one though and it's all subjective.

Borno - I like the sunrise - nice shot , the fawn is a great capture as well and nice capture on the heron with the mouth full of fish. You sure have some great wildlife where you are.

madmikess - good capture behind glass

Bruce - wonderfull colors - wow to have such exotic (to me anyway) birds in the wild - excellent.

Fran - great shot of that bridge. It's like 11 miles or so isn't it ? I remember taking a wrong trun in San Mateo and had the pleasure of going over that bridge , turning around , pay the toll and come back over the bridge
