Welcome to POTW # 24

This week's photos will cover these dates: Sunday August 17th through Sunday August 31st.

Let's keep up the high standard of shots we have seen over the past weeks.

Rules as before:

1) No theme just your favorite stuffs.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week .
3) Any Pentax camera is fine, film, P&S, DSLR (or Samsung DSLR)
4) Runs for 7 days <Sunday August 24th> to <Sunday August 31st>
5) Enter anything you shot last week or this current week until the thread closes.

Previous hosts: 1 Peter Zack, 2 Eaglerapids, 3 rmtagg, 4 Peter Zack, 5 daacon, 6 Bramela, 7 mtnbearhug, 8 dantuyhoa, 9 gawan, 10 roentarre, 11 daacon, 12 Kris, 13 mtnbearhug, 14 SCGushue, 15 daacon, 16 maxwell1295, 17 dantuyhoa, 18 daacon, 19 maxwell1295,20 Bamela, 21 Syb, 22 & 23 maxwell1295, dantuyhoa , ???

Anybody is welcome . Feel free to comment on the photos if you like . We know sometimes we can't shoot even in a week ! TIA .

The Dancing Queen

I played around with it to portrait the energy of this beautiful lady . You feel like a Pentax Full Frame DSLR when you're around her .

My wife and I spent Tuesday visiting some old friends. He's a "garden railroad " buff and she's an avid gardener. Here are a few samples. Dave

I was playing around with taking macro shots today with my Vivitar 90mm f2.8 macro lens. I think this turned out kinda neat so I'm going to submit it.

Yawn- another Heron, very dark this morning though it doesn't look like it once the levels are tweaked. I've been using my k100d super since the k10d has been in the shop a while. It does very well in low light I think.

Nice Heron shot and also a beautiful sunrise. I never "yawn" at a heron shot because at least around here they are very difficult birds to get close to.

Dave - those two hobbies go well together - I love the train in #2 great panning.

Tran - now that one I like - very non posed look good job.

Borno - wow what a sunset - good timing - great picture. Another good Heron shot as well.

madmikess - saw that one on the other thread - looks just as impressive here.

Great examples over this period! Forgive me for not commenting individually but I must say that the variety of styles/subjects and the superb quality go a long way in support of the argument that it is the photographer, not the tool, that creates an image. Thanks to all for sharing and commenting. Dave

Nice Frank. You still have California Poppies blooming, I'm jealous.

Rosella (2nd attempt). Though he is sitting on a nesting box, this is a wild bird. Taken in my backyard.
You have the most beautiful backyard birds I've ever seen. The color of the nesting box sets off the colors of the bird nicely.

I really enjoy seeing what kind of photos everyone is working on recently, very nice stuff. For me, I just keep my camera with me and hope I get lucky from this a.m.
That GBH shot is great! Just another day at the office for you eh?

A few B&W from last week...

Some that caught my eye...

Maxwell: Like those B&W shots. And the fisheye pillars.

krypticide: Amazing interior!

dantuyhoa: Nice portrait of Lady In Black.

borno: Spot on heron moment, and I like the morning shot too.

woof: Delicate flower shot with great bokeh.
