Welcome to POTW # 24

This week's photos will cover these dates: Sunday August 17th through Sunday August 31st.

Let's keep up the high standard of shots we have seen over the past weeks.

Rules as before:

1) No theme just your favorite stuffs.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week .
3) Any Pentax camera is fine, film, P&S, DSLR (or Samsung DSLR)
4) Runs for 7 days <Sunday August 24th> to <Sunday August 31st>
5) Enter anything you shot last week or this current week until the thread closes.

Previous hosts: 1 Peter Zack, 2 Eaglerapids, 3 rmtagg, 4 Peter Zack, 5 daacon, 6 Bramela, 7 mtnbearhug, 8 dantuyhoa, 9 gawan, 10 roentarre, 11 daacon, 12 Kris, 13 mtnbearhug, 14 SCGushue, 15 daacon, 16 maxwell1295, 17 dantuyhoa, 18 daacon, 19 maxwell1295,20 Bamela, 21 Syb, 22 & 23 maxwell1295, dantuyhoa , ???

Anybody is welcome . Feel free to comment on the photos if you like . We know sometimes we can't shoot even in a week ! TIA .

The Dancing Queen

I played around with it to portrait the energy of this beautiful lady . You feel like a Pentax Full Frame DSLR when you're around her .

A few macro, macro's

Kenko 25mm unitube plus and the Tamron 90mm F2.8 macro lens combo. I posted these and a few more on the "post your photos" forum, but they are my favorite shots from the last week. All shot with the K10D mounted on a tripod. The DOF with the ext tube/macro lens is just too shallow to hand hold. I enjoy the abstract nature of these 'uber' macros.

and this is how the above shot looks to the naked eye: 90mm macro only, no extension tube

Just playing around one day last week with the K20D and kit lens, and a little circuit to trigger the camera as the drop passes.

That's just amazing, Salty! Considering the shallow DOF, you must have had to carefully direct the lens to that many sharp areas in one picture! And great shots!

Thanks, Georg!

(If anyone else is interested in building simple electronics, my little sensor-trigger used only about a dozen very cheap components and should be very easy to modify to trigger the camera with other events)
