My apologies folks, I am on holiday, and this slipped my mind. Starting with some images from Addo Elephant National Park.

Wow - these were taken on your holiday? - hope to see more of them. The lion and the elephants are impressive enough, but I particularly like the horned beast in the middle, and the little bird at the end.

My more homebody contributions include pictures of a blue damselfly, common on the front lawn at this time of year. I've also included a picture of a spider who was looking down on me and, I'm sure, laughing at me getting wet knees and ellbows as I chased the damselfly on all fours. The small flower, growing nearby, is a Wahlenbergia stricta, related to the Wahlenbergia Gloriosa that is the floral emblem of the Australian Capital Territory that is the site of Canberra, the Capital of Australia. I lived there many years ago, and finding this self-seeded out the front of the house brought back memories of waiting on the footpath for the bus, as it also commonly grew on the footpath near that bus stop.

The damselfly and spider were taken with the Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 50mm macro on an 11mm extension tube, and the Wahlenbergia with the same lens on a 20mm extension tube. All photos were taken at f16 or 22 at an ISO of about 800 I think, and cropped and lightly processed in XnView.

Wow you guys, fabulous stuff here. Excellent rjbrett, the 2nd image of the Damsel is awesome. Wonderful shots too aaacb and SD_Bob. rjbrett,, yes those are from my 3 day visit to Addo Elephant National Park, the horned beast may object to being called that. It is a Kudu, chosen as the emblem of the National Parks Board.

Let's have some more Pentaxians.

Spent a couple of nights down in San Diego over Thanksgiving weekend. The osprey photo was taken at Fiesta Island, which is near Sea World. The harbor photo was taken on Harbor Island, near the Hilton hotel. The headstones were at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, which is a lovely, peaceful spot to visit and the skyline of San Diego was taken from Harbor Island, also. All photos were taken with my K-70 and the Sigma 18-300 lens.
