Project 52, Week 16 - Motion/Action
Posted By: DanLoc78, 08-29-2008, 07:51 AM

Rules:

1. Anyone and everyone who is interested in eligible
2. Make an attempt to effectively capture the theme of the week
3. Post your single picture in this thread, and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme
4. Some post-processing is OK (adjusting white balance, exposure, color saturation) but let's try to stay away from heavily PP'ed images here. let's try to keep the creativity to photographic techniques and the captures themselves
5. There is one theme labeled black and white, but feel free to post black and white, sepia, etc. for any of the other themes
6. Have fun, provide constructive and friendly criticism, and fire away
7. You may post pictures taken before the current active week; however, only photos captured during the active week will be judged.

This week's theme Motion/Action will run from today until Friday, September 5th.

considering the circumstances...that it's only 1 day out and that you can't just go to a UM game every single Saturday to get this shot...we'll let it stand!

I think this qualifies. Took on Saturday. Four types of motion/action in picture.

Here's my entry - well ok here's the deal - it's my camera I lent my spare K10D and Tammy 18-250 to my daughter who was going to Jasper for the weekend. She got home tonight and had some great shots. I thought this would met the criteria here so on her behalf I submit ... (if you don't think it's fair ...no big deal thought I would share the shot)

This one was Sept 1st, with the Sheriff out on river patrol at the Labor Day celebrations one the Sacramento River. The Sheriff's Dept, Cal Fire/Rescue and others try to keep our tubing students safe in a river with fast currents and multiple snags.

My entry

I'm trying to figure out how to inject some life into the P52...seems there is waning interest. The 'motion/action' theme doesn't appear to be working. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

here is my entry...shot monday at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

I'm still interested in P52 - this week is a tough one for me to get an image
to fit the theme. I've tried a couple of things that haven't worked out.

I may end up posting something I took a couple of weeks ago, of course I wouldn't be elegible for the judging.

well, here it is Friday and I haven't been able to make a half-way decent image that fits the theme...

here's one from August 24 of this year - this is my sons and some friends on an amusement park ride. I did a bunch like this, it was lots of fun.

ISO 200, 1/15 sec at f32 (bright sunny day and I don't have an ND filter)
