Welcome to POTW # 25

This week's photos will cover these dates: Sunday August 24th through Sunday September 7th. I just took the turn, as I did not saw it started and a new week is here

Let's keep up the high standard of shots we have seen over the past weeks.

Rules as before:

1) No theme just your favorite stuffs.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week .
3) Any Pentax camera is fine, film, P&S, DSLR (or Samsung DSLR)
4) Runs for 7 days <Sunday September 1st to September 7th.>
5) Enter anything you shot last week or this current week until the thread closes.

Most of the shots I've taken this week are of equipment I've been trying to sell in the Marketplace.

Gawan - Love the B&W street scene.....very cool shot.

Dave - I love the FE self-portrait....and with flash too?

virgilr - Very good candid-style street shooting. The biker with the PSP is hilarious!

borno - That osprey looks almost regal...

Time for some kuod's and comments !

Georg - Hope you fell better. Thanks for the comments. I love the introduction shot. What a fort for kids. Great street shot as well. Thsoe flowers are indeed close ups! Excellent.

Song_hm - I am not sure what that first one is but I like it. The pool balls are what one might see after an evening in the pub and shooting pool - nice perspective.

russback - nice 'shroom shots. Love the toad / frog - good exsposure on that one.

James - nice narrow DOF and creamy bokeh - picture is a little pixelated in the top part - probably my monitor or a resize issue.

Tran - nice pp on the shot #1 - shot # is a very sultry pose and look.

Duh_Vinci - did you and James share the lens and location ? Nice shot.

borno - nice eagle and osprey - and as always nice herons. Love the Blue sky - int he eagle one there is some distraction on the left hand side might want to clone that out or crop.

Alan - thanks for the comments - yes the flas was used. Very small half bathroom fishey really makes it look much smaller. Nice flowers. The bee and butterfly are well done.

kevindt - nice series - fun shots 1 and 2 and #4 is just fun tio look at Water is very blue.

virgilr - nice series #1 has great framing.#2 not sure where the focal point is, #3 I like and yes the football adds to it, # is over exposed I think and the last one is good.

Stevbrot - nice waterfalls. I am a sucker for waterfalls and landscapes in general. Well done. And yes I would not have guessed that flower was witha fisheye - nice shot.

Peter - wow that is almost 3 times the rain ! Between all that snow you had last year and rain this year is the Island still floating ? Must of played havoc with the crops as well. Glad to see you pursue your passsion. Those are indeed impressive wedding captures. Soft and unique effects. Here's hoping you turn down more jobs that you take as your buinsess grows..

Thanks for sharing, Peter. This shot is simply amazing. Good tone and atmosphere.

On a wedding day, this is often not easy to do when everyone expects you to use flash and follow them around like a pet.

Thanks for sharing this!

Yeh, I have got to remember to not hold the camera level when using the Zenitar. A little curvature of the horizon might have been good.

How about something like this

Haven't got a lot to put up at the moment, but did catch a couple this morning (between the heavy rain showers) of a Lily. Really a great lot of shots this weeks so far. As Dave commented on the many individual entries, I will just say "well done, all"

These taken with Vivitar 105 macro on k10d.

Stevebrot - ha ha now that is a fisheye !

Bruce - nice flowers , nice flowers , nice pp and nice flowers !

While the season is rapidly changing here - there are a few "hanger ons" that refuse to accept Fall is here and Winter is not far behind ...

Bruce, stunning close-ups! About this latter, I think I liked the first version better, the black lower right corner feels a little empty without the extra branch? Or you could crop the PP'ed version more from the bottom?

Dave, I think this is truly a great photo, if only you have had a flash for fill light! Do you think it would get better if you tried to add some fill light to the flower in your favourite PP software?

I like the way the clouds play with the flower in composition!

Thanks Georg - I think you are right - as I was diving away I thought about should I get the flash and I got lazy and carried on. I could have used the camera flash - will try and remember next time.
