Weekly Challenge #424: Inside A Building
Posted By: atupdate, 06-11-2018, 06:39 AM

I'm looking for photos from Inside A Building. The building needs to be part of the image. Show me the inside of a house, barn, museum, hospital, or orther type of building with or without another subject in the photo.

This challenge will close at noon my time on Monday, June 18th.

The fine print:
Every week, a new theme is picked and judged by the winner of the previous week.

Rules
1. Post ONE photo (max 1024x1024).
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose one of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus an additional day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax camera can be used.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.
9. In case the winner of a challenge is unable to become the judge for the next challenge, they will PM the #2 winner for that person to be the judge.

Examples:

Good luck to everyone.

Tim

I do most of my experimenting indoors, so I have hundreds of photos taken inside a building that should never see the light of day. None of those indoor shots are focused on the building itself, but a couple dozen include enough of the surroundings to give a sense of where the picture was taken. After finding a few that I thought wouldn't embarrass me, I decided to enter this one because it is different (not necessarily in a good way, just "different").

So, this is a though challenge for me. I only have two photos that would qualify.

This one is inside the Soukh in Sousse, Tunisia.

Don't make me peek through your window to see what is inside your building.

Wow, I thought this would be an easy challenge topic after looking through my files and seeing how many pictures included some sort of building contributing to the appeal of the photo. Plenty of time to search through your files and submit your entry.

Great challenge. I'm more focused on shooting outdoors but I am also drawn to abandonments. I won't enter them unless it's permitted to do so, but there was nothing in the way of my shooting through an open window of a neglected nursing school/dormitory. Unfortunately, vandals had done their worst of a grand old structure with deep roots in the community.

Thought I already posted in this challenge. Adding an image that I just scanned, looking inside a building.
