#440 - Animals, close-up
Posted By: Vaskebjorn, 11-21-2018, 03:14 PM

I will also try to maintain some sort of continuity. The subject is animal close ups.
I am not necessarily looking for macros. Normally I use my 300mm to get the look.

I will close this on Tue 27th November 2018 Amsterdam midnight. Happy “shooting”

The fine print:
Every week, a new theme is picked and judged by the winner of the previous week.

Rules
1. Post ONE photo (max 1024x1024).
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose one of them to select and be the judge for the next week's challenge.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus an additional day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax/Ricoh (DSLR) camera can be used as well as P/S cameras.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.
9. In case the winner of a challenge is unable to become the judge for the next challenge, they will PM the #2 winner for that person to be the judge

I enjoy playing with DOF and sharpness vs. bokeh. So this is me wondering what this duck is looking at....

Hi szs,
Very good photo. Just one problem. I accidentally closed the challenge one day to early
Maybe you can use this photo in the next challenge or in POTW.

Ps. My guess is that you got an egyptian goose instead of a duck.

mohb, and yours is late too. Seems Richard, jumped ahead one day too soon and closed the contest too early.

Hi mohb, as photolady already indicated i accidentally closed one day early. But I really like your photo. The dark horse is photographed very beautifully. I like the subtle white line over his nose. You would have gotten a honorary mention for that one if i would not haveclosed to early and yours would have been in time.

Soooo, I am a newbie here but would it make sense to post a note in this thread indicating the closing and pointing to the results?

Actually, that's what most judges do, but I think it just was an oversight of Richard this time.
