Weekly Challenge #446 Busy
Posted By: aaacb, 01-15-2019, 05:06 PM

Welcome to weekly challenge #446! The topic is "Busy" and I do not mean having stuff to do, but the image being full of action, or texture, and detail, from the background to the main subject; ideally in different layers that require time to explore.

The challenge is open from now until January 23rd.

The fine print:

Every week, a new theme is picked and judged by the winner of the previous week.

Rules
1. Post ONE photo (max 1024x1024).
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose one of them to select and be the judge for the next week's challenge.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus an additional day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax/Ricoh (DSLR) camera can be used as well as P/S cameras.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.
9. In case the winner of a challenge is unable to become the judge for the next challenge, they will PM the #2 winner for that person to be the judge.

Interesting and difficult theme for me, usually I go for the opposite of "busy" in photography. I'll choose a picture from the ever lively streets of Galway, Ireland. This small city is so full of life!

I have to agree with Hattefnatt, i also tend to take pictures that are not “busy”. I was able to find one though.
This is the fishing harbor of Port el Kantaoui after all the boats returned.

A "star party" night at Griffith observatory, where amateur astronomers set up their equipment to share with visitors. Tallest LA skyscrapers in background, astronomers' monument with 6 famous astronomers left foreground, and a statue of actor James Dean right foreground. It is a 20-minute hike up the fire-road behind the parking lot to this viewpoint, another 1/2 hour to the top of Mt Hollywood. The Hollywood sign is on the next peak west, Mt. Lee.
Here's the direct link for people with AV issues :-)

I have an amazing/embarrassing large number of cluttered images in my library, but I managed to find one where there is more than one aspect of busyness to it. The view from our backyard deck when my wife gets ready to start planting flowers in the spring, after doing her best to financially support local garden centres and plant nurseries.
