A few challenges ago I hosted one for the rule of thirds. This time I am looking for images with a centered composition. Most of the time you will find that images with a centered composition are strong candidates for a square crop but not always. I'll provide examples with and without square crop.

The challenge will close on February 1, 2019

The fine print:

Every week, a new theme is picked and judged by the winner of the previous week.


Rules
1. Post ONE photo (max 1024x1024).
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose one of them to select and be the judge for the next week's challenge.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus an additional day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax/Ricoh (DSLR) camera can be used as well as P/S cameras.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.
9. In case the winner of a challenge is unable to become the judge for the next challenge, they will PM the #2 winner for that person to be the judge.

Sometimes the ball and the players aren't in sync. Noise reduction software seems to have removed most of the EXIF information; lens is DA 18-135, taken at 88mm, f5.6, 1/160 second, ISO 6400.

Robinson Falls in Boch Hollow, Ohio. North of Logan, Ohio in the Hocking Hills region. Taken with the KP and 55-300 plm at 120mm. This is a six second exposure and I think with an ND8 filter. I was at the location before sunrise so I took many long exposures before having to use ND filters. This was taken at 8:11 am, a good half an hour after sunrise. But I haven't been there late enough to see when the sunlight actually hits in the hollow, so you get nice indirect light.

Went for a walk in the park and someone had placed painted rocks everywhere. This one fascinated me for some reason. Done with the entry level DA18-55mm f/4.5 so not the sharpest image.
