Welcome to the 548th edition of Picture of the Week (POTW), covering 6-19 Mayl 2019. Let's see what you have been shooting these past two weeks. POTW is a great spot to show off six or fewer shots you take or are editing within the thread's date range. In other words, you can post your shots from this week AND last week.

To post your great photos, just hit reply and attach away. Feel free to start immediately.

Please:

consider including in your post any special circumstances or tips on technique or equipment which might be interesting to others.

identify your camera and lens if that information is easily available to you.

And please invite other Pentaxians to join us.

Some rules:
1) No theme, just post your favorite pix
2) Six or fewer images per person per thread to prevent thread bloat
3) Any Pentax, Ricoh or Samsung camera, film or digital

The current host will invite a new host via Private Message (PM), but if you are interested and willing to host POTW, please send me a PM, before I contact others.

If possible, the new thread will be linked to the previous one. If the thread doesn't start, please contact the host, via PM. Thanks for hosting Eva. Whatever is that contraption in the last image? Not a car wash I hope
A contribution from me, before the week runs out.

The Pied Starling somehow always looks angry

A reminder to shave more often

Peacock on the roof, with a tree in the background, giving some pretty crazy bokeh

From Sunday-A romantic cruise on Emmerentia Dam

On Monday I was at Kloofendal Nature Reserve again, seeing that the Independent Electoral Commission staff cam and took over the church manse (where I live) and the church, in preparation for the National and Provincial Elections held on Wednesday. There I saw this beauty

Movable Modern(urban) version of trough. The trough was used for watering livestock or wahsing clothes in past. The water there is/was drinkable. Usually stood in the middle of the village or in the meadows a kind of spring of fresh water ,made of wood or stone. When we hiking, the trough is a great opportunity for our four-legged friends who love water to refresh.

Happy Sunday!

Thanks for getting us started Eva!

It's a 3-day weekend here in Hong Kong (Buddha's birthday today...), so life is good!

My wife and I went to a birthday celebration for Tam Kung (Lord Tam, the Sea God) today that involved lots of lion dance teams. The weather was great, the crowds were surprisingly small and there were lots of great photo ops. I got my DA*300 back from the repair shop yesterday (new SDM motor...) so I had to bring it along. I love that lens.
