POTW #30 Oct 05-08 - Oct 19-08
Welcome to POTW # 30

This week's photos will cover these dates: Sunday September 21st till Sunday October 5th.

Let's keep up the high standard of shots we have seen over the past weeks.

Rules as before:

1) No theme just your favorite stuff.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week .
3) Any Pentax camera is fine, film, P&S, DSLR (or Samsung DSLR)
4) Runs for 14 days. Sunday October 5th to October 19th.
5) Enter anything you shot last week or this current week until the thread closes.

That's a good one Tran

This poor fox got stuck on a digestor lid at work and was discovered this am. We floated the lid up until she was able to jump out. She looks pretty scared here, I'm glad she got out ok

Thanks Alan, but it was kind of cheating since she couldn't go anywhere (kind of like the zoo)

More great images!

Tran, thanks for the comment! I love your first photo, where the girl's pose complement the tree, or maybe the other way around.. and the second photo, well, I am exited about that butterfly

Tom, beautiful butterfly! But that fox beats all, so touching!

Frank, the expression on her face makes that photo for me! So determined!

Bruce, great that we can see more of that ship! Superb sunrise!

Simon, refreshingly different photo! That person has skills to handle two phones at the same time, only a female person can do that?

Here is a silly one from me, I intended to make it B&W, but cancelled, as I liked the scarce colour original better..

Tom ,Georg : Thanks . I added grain to the image for the "vintage" effect .

K100d - Cool bokeh .

Tom - Nice fox shot . I found a spot with birds !!! About time !

I'm a little confused by the dates this time around. Does this POTW end today or run for 2 weeks?
There's too many great shots to comment on. Good stuff everyone.

Love Trans work as usual. Where do you find all these beautiful models?

Bruce, that first shot of the silhouetted tall ship is very good.

As always Borno wins the bird awards. Nice Butterfly as well.

That first shot of the flower is very nice Gary. The 55-300mm looks like a winner.

Gawan, fun shot with the boat on the side of the building. Cool.

Excellent fireworks shots Song hm.

Roentarre, that "skull" shot is very cool. Don't know what it is but I like it!

Maxwell, The dark dog shot is also excellent. Well seen and captured.

Jasvox, I have to comment on the 3 Greece shots (being the 'home' country and all). Love the series and the last one I like the best. Post more, it's too long since I've been to the land of my fathers....

It seems like a misunderstanding, as conventionally this challenge has run for ONE week, but allowed entries during the challenges running week and from the previous week, I think Gary will end this thread by today/or tomorrow, so we can get back on track again. What do you think, Gary?

I was just going by the dates on the previous round and that had two weeks on it, I think that's where the confusion has come in to it.

I didn't look back at the earlier ones. The idea was your previous weeks work and the current week. Sunday to Sunday if possible. So maybe PM someone who submitted a shot and get the new one going for this coming period.

Yes, quite understandable, but the weeks should overlap by one week. Anyway no harm when the new weeks starts as usual
