Welcome to the 555 edition of Picture of the Week (POTW), covering 24 June - 8 July 2019. Let's see what you have been shooting these past two weeks. POTW is a great spot to show off six or fewer shots you take or are editing within the thread's date range. In other words, you can post your shots from this week AND last week.

• identify your camera and lens if that information is easily available to you.

These images were captured with a Tokina RMC f8 500mm mirror lens on my Pentax K-S2. The great egrets were at a wetland in Midland County, Michigan. The chiipmunk was on a house's backyard deck, and those images were captured through a door's glass.

I have a little bit of everything this week.

Developed and scanned some film I shot a month or two ago



went for a hike and saw a toad and a nice waterfall. the view from the top was nice to be at and look around but not good for pictures, it was 1pm, bright and sunny with little to make a photo



didn't have much luck with street photos but still I kept one or two

Thanks for hosting again Eve. Most of mine this week come from a quick walk around the garden Saturday morning between showers. The first three were taken with my K5 and a new to me Vega 12B f2.8 lens, the fourth a Matar 5cm f4.5 enlarger lens, and the pigeon a DA SMC 55-300 f4-5.6. The Vega shots were taken with the aperture wide open. The lens itself was made for the Pentacon 6 mount, and has a disconcerting habit of falling out of the front of the cheap adapter I bought for it. After a few short falls onto the kitchen bench I just held it well while carrying and taking the photos - I won't be waltzing down the street with it anytime soon. It does seem to make nice pictures wide open though - I'd like to try it closed down a little in an open park also .
