Posted By: maxwell1295, 10-12-2008, 02:08 PM

Welcome to POTW # 31

This week's photos will cover these dates: Sunday October 5th till Sunday October 19th.

Let's keep up the high standard of shots we have seen over the past weeks.

Rules as before:

1) No theme just your favorite stuff.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week .
3) Any Pentax camera is fine, film, P&S, DSLR (or Samsung DSLR)
4) Runs for 14 days. Sunday October 5th to October 19th.
5) Enter anything you shot last week or this current week until the thread closes.

timbo13, I like the soft pastel look of the 1st shot. Roses in Maine mid October???
thanks, that's what appealed to me, too.

MA = Massachusetts Maine is ME

Roses will go until the first good frost. If you choose varieties wisely, they
can be pretty tough plants. Lucky for me my wife knows about roses.

I have been busy with my work this week, so I have not had the time to post much. This week's POTW looks like another great week again, so many great entries! I hope to be able to shoot something this weekend.

Some photos that have caught my eye this time are for example:

Georg's red toned woman on stage, interesting!
Peter's couple doing modelling on the shore, very nice!
Simon's spectacular dancing moon!
Frank's and Kim's sunrise spectacles,
Rosemary's cute Mr Noah,
code4code5's and Tony's children photos,
Dave's old steam engine,
and .. and, oh well, Ican't keep track of them all...

Well done!

I am at once impressed, humbled and encouraged by all of the great work posted this week. I've got to step up my game, but at least I know where the bar is set now.

My critic's eye is still very much in training so I just wanted to point out a few that immediately pulled me in: Tom's bass boat, Peter's yellow flower, Dave's benches, Gary's OOF wind chime, Ken's grab handle and Thanh's flower tosser.

This next one was one of those you just sort of stumble upon. I had gone out to the garden to see if there were any peppers left, that survived our neglect this year, I could use for fajitas last night - and I ended up filling a grocery sack. When I plopped them into the sink to wash them I saw this:

A great week of submissions. Number and standard of shots is breathtaking. Well done all.
We are experiencing a very good Spring season down here in Aussie. With the good rain we have had and excellent temps, the flowers etc are better than they have been for some years.
Heres a couple I have taken recently :

Murraya (Aust. Native Shrub)

Crimson Glory Climbing Rose (pity about the burnt out sky)

Morning dew on rose leaf.
