Posted By: maxwell1295, 10-12-2008, 02:08 PM

Welcome to POTW # 31

This week's photos will cover these dates: Sunday October 5th till Sunday October 19th.

Let's keep up the high standard of shots we have seen over the past weeks.

Rules as before:

1) No theme just your favorite stuff.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week .
3) Any Pentax camera is fine, film, P&S, DSLR (or Samsung DSLR)
4) Runs for 14 days. Sunday October 5th to October 19th.
5) Enter anything you shot last week or this current week until the thread closes.

Still water

actually it was choppy...amazing what the multi exposure mode will do. If you look closely you can see a blurry duck... K20D, DA*16-50

Thommo,
you chopped the duck in PP .-) Beautiful blue-green in there.

Maxwell,
DOF on that fingerboard is awesome. Your photo brought me to post another audible picture. This is through some thick black nets on the stagesides. Maybe this is art ;-)

First time joining in on this. I took full advantage of Pentaxium Day and spent about 6 hours all together shooting around town. Here's a few from the day.

Alan - thanks for kicking the week off; great job on the fingerboard!
Thommo - lovely summer colours
Georg (the other) - interesting effect -- it looks like an old film shot
Venturi - nice Pantaxian images
Tom - love the early morning shot
Peter - I particularly like the third one (leaf)

I went out for a pre-dawn walk while the kids were at swim practice. I find it interesting how much better the sensor detects colour at low light levels (than my eyes do). Dave

Wow, I haven't contributed for awhile and may not for a long time! My latest efforts would look pretty puny compared to this week's posts...

Good work all!!

K100D lowlight AF pissed me off last night. aimed at the face at ISO 1600 + FA31 @ f2 + shutter at 1/10 and it gives me focus confirm but once i check at home, the focus is all wrong. i should try using the pop-up flash af assist next time. viewfinder is too dark and small to tell if the subject is actually in focus. i hope the new K3xD models have an AF assist lamp. thing would alleviate lots of low light AF complaints

some fun ones tonight

more FA31 bokeh, looks like the plate's on fire

Okay, I'm stumped. How in the heck did you move the moon around?!

I have to admit that is a first for me - painting with stationary light.
