Weekly Challenge #75-- Autumn/Harvest
Posted By: fletcherkane, 10-20-2008, 06:46 AM

Alright, thanks again to reeftool for the win in last weeks challenge. Here is the theme for this weeks challenge: Autumn/Harvest. With the fall colors reaching their peak this week (in the northern half of the US anyway...) I thought it would be great to see some of your best harvest photos and or your best photos of fall foliage. This weeks contest runs through Next Monday, October 27. Winners will be posted Tuesday the 28th.

Have fun. As always, here are the contest rules....
_______________________________________
1. Post ONE photo (max 1000x1000).
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme. It can be color or B&W, your choice.
3. You can offer as much or as little additional information as you wish, but if you have to explain it, it probably doesn’t communicate what you are trying for.
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and chose 1 of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus a day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax camera will do or a Samsung DSLR.

No fall colors around here. I live in the tropics ! (Costa Rica), but we do have harvests during this time of the year. Specifically the coffee bean crop harvest.

Attachment 20748

Coffee beans are hand picked and taken in baskets to the "collector", which measures the volume picked (using that cubic bin) and pays the pickers in the act.

Sorry about that mate!
I knew that this one might leave out a few forum participants...but I couldn't resist this theme with all the beautiful foliage I have around me.

Maybe you could post a picture of last years Autumn/Harvest? No rule says you gotta take the picture this week...

Pat,
No specific dates here. Just a specific theme. Any photo you have taken at any time with a Pentax camera that fits the theme of the contest will be just fine... :-)

I think I've posted this one on this forum before, but just to display, so I'll put it here as well.

Autumn Boat

A lot of Autumn photos are taken of the forest alive with color. I found this boat covered with dead leaves IN the forest along Fish Creek in Central New York State just a few weeks ago.
