Posted By: nosliwmit, 11-25-2019, 05:02 AM

Welcome to the 576th edition of Picture of the Week (POTW), covering 18th November - 1st December 2019. Let's see what you have been shooting these past two weeks. POTW is a great spot to show off six or fewer shots you take or are editing within the thread's date range. In other words, you can post your shots from this week AND last week.

To post your great photos, just hit reply and attach away. Feel free to start immediately.

Please:

• consider including in your post any special circumstances or tips on technique or equipment which might be interesting to others.

• identify your camera and lens if that information is easily available to you.

And please invite other Pentaxians to join us.

Some rules:
1) No theme, just post your favorite pix
2) Six or fewer images per person per thread to prevent thread bloat
3) Any Pentax, Ricoh or Samsung camera, film or digital

The current host will invite a new host via Private Message (PM), but if youare interested and willing to host POTW, please send me a PM, before I contact others.

If possible, the new thread will be linked to the previous one. If the thread doesn't start, please contact the host, via PM. ---------- Post added 11-25-19 at 07:09 AM ----------

Does anyone else fight with the cut-and-pasting of text in these posts? I've tried Firefox and IE and a lot of spaces between words are just randomly omitted when I create the post and then I have to go in and edit the post and add them back in. I have not completely corrected this week's...

Anyway, more from my weekend in Sai Kung, New Territories. On Sunday my wife and I went for a lovely hike. The weather was fantastic.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Let's see what you've got!

I've been messing with long exposures and exploring the mountain the area of Gifford-Pinchot national forest. Its about 2.5 hours from where I live and there isn't a lot of sunlight. If I can, I plan on going back out and staying the night in the small town of Packwood, there are so many forestry roads I could probably spend weeks out there!

I carry a trust simple but perfectly capable Pentax K-50, and an 18-135MM Lens are used for these pictures.

Anyways, on to my photos!

The last two are from Seattle:

Thanks for viewing!

For my first foray into the POTW thread I bring some fall color (Shot with a K-30 with DA-18-135), and one odd but fun macro of dew on a spider web (K-01 with Tamron 90mm Macro).

Thanks for posting to POTW! Great forest photos and an enviable sunset. I call Seattle home but only get there for a few days a year...

Thanks for contributing! Looks like you've got some beautiful fall colors in your neck of the woods.

Back with a bang. #2 is stunning! And gorgeous bokeh with your lemon.

Thanks to all who participated. It was a good mix of old and new! I'll now start the next POTW!

I'm very happy as a first time GR owner. I sold the da 15 and da 21 after getting this, they used to be my go-to street lenses (I still use the DA 40). If you don't already have a GR camera, consider the II as well while it's still available, though I use my III at high iso and ibis quite a bit (but not at the same time), for me these features were important. The real magic is the form factor and way of operation, and even the GR Digital (2005) I got recently out of curiosity works basically the same if you're within its technical limitations.
