Welcome to the 590th edition of Picture of the Week (POTW), covering period 15 March - 29 March 2020. Let's see what you have been shooting these past two weeks. POTW is a great spot to show off six or fewer shots you take or are editing within the thread's date range. In other words, you can post your shots from this week AND last 2 weeks.

Well, I think COVID-19 is having a big effect on many of us. I didn't leave my neighborhood this weekend, but I took a walk yesterday to a nearby park and saw lots of birds. It was a gorgeous day and I got to exercise my recently-repaired DA*300. It still back-focuses but at least it focuses!

Red-whiskered bulbul. My favorite birds here in Hong Kong--they're gorgeous and abundant:


I've only seen these guys a few times and I assume they're transients:

Thanks for hosting again nosliwmit, being an avid birder, I love those bird shots, and then Eva comes along to add to my delight. Plenty to cheer me while I am in lockdown, along with my fellow South Africans. Here's a contribution from me.


I've had two opportunities to try an capture this hummingbird Hawk Moth, difficult as it does not settle on any flower, but hovers while it eats from the flowers.


We've had lots of rain, this was in the yard when I returned one afternoon.


This falls just inside the time frame


Hopefully I'll get plenty of this during the 21 day lockdown. From the yard.


The annual Cosmos season has arrived, in even greater splendor than last year. Hopefully they will still be around if/when the lockdown ends.
