P52-9-16 Subject: Glass

Strongly related to the Light theme, yet very different at the same time. Translucent or reflective — which way do you like to shoot your glass?

Glass Photography. Taking pictures of glass and translucent subjects
How to Photograph Glass: Step-by-Step Tutorial by Dina Belenko

Photos for the Week #16 competition are to be taken between Jun 1, 2020 and Jun 7, 2020

Rules:
1. Anyone and everyone who is interested in eligible. The goal continues to be
have fun and share comments, concepts, insights, and techniques with fellow
Pentaxians.
2. Each week will feature a Theme and Sub-concept for you to explore.
3. Post your single picture in Project 52-5 thread for the week. Explain what
motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly
theme.
4. Some post-processing is OK (adjusting white balance, exposure, color
saturation), but let's try to stay away from heavily PP'ed images here. Try to
keep the creativity to photographic techniques and the captures themselves.
5. Since this project is about technique, and not camera, shots taken by non Pentax cameras are allowed.
Cameras may be SLRs, DSLRs, Point & Shoot, Medium Format, et cetera. But no phones, please.
6. There is one “Theme Concept” labeled “black and white,” but feel free to post
black and white, sepia, monotone, etc., for any of the other themes.
7. The picture you post should be taken during the week in which the theme is
active to be eligible for judging.
8. Any picture taken from thread start date to listed closing date is acceptable.

Through a wet piece of glass (knockdown greenhouse I made) and testing the weather resistance of my camera and lens at the same time.

This is a macro shot of a light in the house, it's a bubble glass globe over a clear light bulb. The globe glass is full of tiny bubbles to which makes an interesting look. (I should have used my rocket blower on it first but I didn't see those with the naked eye)

djb47 - cool! Blue colour adds to the whole sci-fi feeling:
RGlasel - can't-go-wrong classic of the raindrops on glass. Thought of shooting something alike too:
ramseybuckeye - stunning colours! specks of dust adds fidelity and create texture:
noelcmn - lovely! especially love the softening effect of the glass sphere - as if shot with old lens.
The winner is ramseybuckeye for the catchy game of colours. Congratulations!

Thanks for your kind review. What I like about these P52 challenges is that they are a real way to challenge yourself. I need to be more dedicated to do them all. Other stuff sometimes gets in the way.
