More autumn colors, the last two shot on morning walks and the first on a photo bicycle ride. Thanks for hosting!

k1ii and vivitar s1 70-210, an old lens that's sharp enough still stopped down across its range. overcast skies, tried to shape it a little bit with dodge/burn

k1ii and kit lens, here i really played with selective toning to bring out the blue brick in the background

and last w/ the gr iii

The first shot with a DA* 60-250mm, handheld on a slightly overcast day at a small nearby lake and preserve. The second taken with a DA* 50-135 at an apple orchard on another slightly overcast day. Last taken with a Sigma 18-35mm Art at the same orchard, same day. All edited in RawTherapee.

Love the first two shots. Can't see the dragonfly pic? Is anyone else missing it?

Very good job with the apples on the tree. Danced very close to blowing the highlights, but you made it.

The combined BART/Caltrain rail station in Millbrae, California has large, pavillion-style rooflines that catch and bounce light in charming ways. It's an unusual structure, different than all the other BART stations around San Francisco. In October, the sunsets get better and better as I head home for the day. Then, in November, the clocks change and I travel home in the dark. So this week, I've been trying to capture these final sunsets. I'll get one more shot at it this evening, so I hope the light holds and I can cut down a bit on the lens flare.

Even seven months in, I can't get over how often I'm the only person taking the train.

Both with SMC Pentax-DA 15mm Limited, f/11 and 1/45 or maybe 1/60, ISO 200.

Two Jack-O-Lanterns I saw sitting on some sort of electrical utility box in a San Francisco neighborhood. They appear to have been burned by their candles. I used a graduated ND filter and still barely held on against that gleaming white building. I know there was a better angle on this shot; I just could not find it despite a dozen tries. Pentax-DA Limited 21mm

Seems to happen a lot lately. Flickr links break... I fixed it for now.

Apple season in NY! I love it when the fresh cider hits the grocery stores...

I love the starbursts. I used my DA15 yesterday for the first time in a long time (on my K-1). It's a wonderful lens.

Looks like a perfect day. The moonrise was gorgeous in HK but I didn't get any shots of it.

Thanks to everyone who participated! It was a good week.

I'll start next week's POTW.
