Weekly Challenge #530 - A Sea Of ... · 05:32 PM

Thanks Stephen for hosting last weeks photo challenge.

This weeks photo challenge is that you must complete this phrase using a photo: a sea of ...

You are open to interpret this in any way you choose.

The challenge closes on Tuesday,April 6th.

The fine print:
Every week, a new theme is picked and judged by the winner of the previous week.

1. Post ONE photo.
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose one of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus an additional day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax camera can be used.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.
9. In case the winner of a challenge is unable to become the judge for the next challenge, they will PM the #2 winner for that person to be the judge.

Very tough to choose but this weeks winner is: noelcmn with A sea of roof tiles and moss. Great interpretation of the theme with the whole frame being filled with a repeating pattern of light, shadow, and colour. just a unique image that makes you look twice. Excellent job!

2nd place: SpecialK. Wow! great photo. I love the composition and simplicity with the railing, staggered drain holes(?), and the soft sea background.

3rd place: StephenHampshire. What a dreamy photo! Great use of colour and lines.

And a special thanks to all the other entries that made the decision of picking the top three such a tough job. Looking forward to next weeks challenge!!

Sorry, didn’t see this remark before, but the red tulip is all natural.
I also have a sea of white tulips with one other colored tulip in the frame.

I think they do it on purpose though.

Uhh, an' did you notice there was only one sea gull over seven years of age in atupdate's shot? Twenty-seventh from the left in the middle row.

Actually I did notice, apparently his name is Ben.

Ben was really shy, as he flew away when I asked if I could take a portrait of just him.

PF is a rich resource on so many levels. A random image contains so many unintended possibilities.

Turns out Ben's the great-(1060th)-grandson of Johnathan Livingston Seagull who's story was told by author Richard Bach in the '60's. If you (or your soul) fly you've met this gull.
