Welcome to the 638th edition of Pictures of the Week (POTW), covering Aug. 3-19, 2021. Let's see what you have been shooting and/or processing.

POTW is a great spot to show off six or fewer shots you take or are editing within the thread's date range.

My images were captured with my monopod-mounted Pentax K-S2 and an older SMC Pentax Macro1.4/100mm lens or SMC Pentax DAL 1:3.5-5.8 18-55mm AL.

To post your photos, just hit reply and attach away. Feel free to start immediately.

• consider including in your post any special circumstances or tips on technique or equipment which might be interesting to others.
• identify your camera and lens if that information is easily available to you.

And please invite other Pentaxians to join us.

Here is what I've been pottering around in the last few days.

Pentax K1 + 24-70 + CPol - Processed in Darktable.


- Basic - DeNoise, DeFringe, DeChromaticAbs etc

- shadows lifted a bit
- LCA applied to clouds
- selective sharpening on the building





Pentax K1 + 31mm Limited. Processes in Darktable

- Basic - DeNoise, DeFringe, DeChromaticAbs etc

- shadows lifted
- B/W converstion using the colour zones module

- LCA applied to cealing to enhance the patches

Dandelions have become a staple diet for me for the DIC challenge.

Great POTW this week! Thanks Stu for hosting and everyone else for participating. I'm still working off a laptop (anxiously awaiting the arrival of my household goods) but I have a car now and am starting to get out to explore Ireland.

Here are a few from me:

I have been post processing some of my old shots which comprises couple of weeks old to about a year old shots to enhance up close eye contact with subjects. I shoot with Pentax K-70 and DA 55-300 lens.
The first one is Oriental Green Lizard or Calotes

Second one is Shikra

The third one is spotted deer in Gir Forest India
