Project 52, Week 27 - Free (no theme)
Posted By: DanLoc78, 12-03-2008, 05:44 PM

To mark the midway point of the Project 52 go out this week and pick whatever you want to shoot. Submit the photo you like the best.

Rules:

1. Anyone and everyone who is interested is eligible
2. Make an attempt to effectively capture the theme of the week
3. Post your single picture in this thread, and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme
4. Some post-processing is OK (adjusting white balance, exposure, color saturation) but let's try to stay away from heavily PP'ed images here. let's try to keep the creativity to photographic techniques and the captures themselves
5. There is one theme labeled black and white, but feel free to post black and white, sepia, etc. for any of the other themes
6. Have fun, provide constructive and friendly criticism, and fire away
7. You may post pictures taken before the current active week; however, only photos captured during the active week will be judged.

This week's theme will run from today until Thursday, December 11th.

A great idea for this weeks challenge, however, very daunting. Making a decision on the one photo to post is a real challenge. Everytime I look through my photos I opt for something different as being the 'one'.

I am surprised that not ONE photo has appeared here. Perhaps if I put one of my choices up, others may follow. C'mon guys.

Orchid

That's a beautiful photo of the bee. I respectfully offer this photo from an orchid show held locally. The water droplets already were present.

Great bee photo Bruce and I love your photo smf.
I posted some pics with the 77mm in the POTW thread and since there are few photos so far in this thread I'll post one by the DA* 300/4.
These were taken off a dirt road connecting the Fourth of July pass off I90 (on top) to Rose Lake, Idaho. This was the first time I've gone to this section this fall. Hunting season is over and I'm more comfortable letting Spike run around. The snow is late this year, it would have been impossible to get to this spot same time last year without a snowmobile. Still, when I first got on the dirt road off the interstate I was a bit hesitant. It was frozen, glossy, and very slick in the morning. The four-wheel drive gets you going but stopping is another matter, especially on twisty, sometimes steep logging roads! There were a couple pucker moments but this is one of my favorite views, I only saw three other vehicles going in and coming out so I just took it easy and enjoyed the morning.

Trafalgar square

Here is on shot from my day out in London. I spent hours walking across London but I think few shots made it worth the time and effort. And it was nice workout too

Give it a shot

Since the count is low, I thought I'd contribute...

I keep going back to this subject- an antique pepper shaker in cranberry glass iwth a brass cap. It sits in our sideboard, and always draws my eye when I get a "gotta go shoot" urge and it's miserable outside (like it is now).

Shot with a Tamron 28-200mm (in sig).
