The sun setting through a haze of smoke from our local forest fires this summer. The closest one to me was only about 10 miles away, but it wasn't a very big one compared to some of the others.

I don't have colour calibration tools or a calibrated monitor, so you have to take my word that Parks Canada paints their Adirondack chairs a very solid shade of red. The woman looking down at me with disdain is my wife.

I think the bright red on this bird messed with the settings on my camera. When I opened the image in RAW the red became an orange that I was unable to correct. It appears more orange in this shot than it does on the jpg I uploaded(and in real life). The focus was a bit off for multiple shots of this bird (perfectly good for other images) and there's no feather detail in the red colour. So - just be careful how red you go! Scarlet-rumped Tanager, Costa Rica.
