This doesn't have to include people. Capture a scene or portrait that stirs up a particular emotion.

Rules:

1. Anyone and everyone who is interested is eligible
2. Make an attempt to effectively capture the theme of the week
3. Post your single picture in this thread, and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme
4. Some post-processing is OK (adjusting white balance, exposure, color saturation) but let's try to stay away from heavily PP'ed images here. let's try to keep the creativity to photographic techniques and the captures themselves
5. There is one theme labeled black and white, but feel free to post black and white, sepia, etc. for any of the other themes
6. Have fun, provide constructive and friendly criticism, and fire away
7. You may post pictures taken before the current active week; however, only photos captured during the active week will be judged.

This week's theme will run from today until Friday, December 19th.

Emotion: Cold/Passionless.
When I saw this flag I thought of the current state of America. The ecomony has left people out in the cold, jobless,
and torn from there families. Its time for a change.

I was really touched by seeing the personalized messages on this memorial. It was a Memorial Day tribute to our fallen soldiers from this past year.

We've got only three pics so far but they are all strong pics. I would sure like to see more entries, though. I'm just a bit confused if Friday is included for entries but since this was started on the 11th I will include tomorrow, Friday the 18th, for entries and will announce the winner Saturday morning.
