Weekly Challenge 573 - Spring · 03:37 AM

It's starting to look like spring in my part of the world so I thought a few spring time images would be nice.

The challenge will close on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 @ 7 am EDST. Selection for the next challenge will happen ASAP.

Simple Rules:

1. Post ONE photo (max 1024x1024).
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose one of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus an additional day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax camera can be used.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.
9. In case the winner of a challenge is unable to become the judge for the next challenge, they will PM the #2 winner for that person to be the judge.

A shallow beach, where it looks like the lake ice expansion pushed the sand up into a barrier. It's still early in spring, and I expect this barrier will stay until enough ice is clear and until there are strong enough winds to create waves to break down the barrier. The Canada Geese are probably used to it. Besides, they can just fly over

It's the kind of sun we don't feel like this in the winter: heat from the land.

Ontarians are not quite there yet with spring - though I did see a snowdrop among the dead leaves at the front of my house yesterday. Still, the snow is disappearing and a few early birds are arriving. This taken at Long Point on Lake Erie.

I had a small crocus for you but decided to go for another one. I expect more flowers so I give you a little tiger enjoying the morning sun. He is a sort of awaking from winter.

He doesn’t rumble a lot though

. Everytime I encounter him in the neighborhood he is sleeping or just sitting in the sun. This one I was actually lucky as the light was in the good angle and the position was slightly elevated on top of a car bonnet/hood.
