Thank everyone for all the entries. I really liked all of them and they were very diverse. That made judging not easier to be honest and I changed my mind literally last minute. Below my thoughts about the entries and they are obviously all very subjective.

Gump : great photo of a nice little cabin in the woods. Nothing a little spring clean wouldn’t fix I guess. These kind of photo’s always make you wonder how live used to be in days long gone.
Atupdate : i like how the ice envelopes the “late” flower, it almost looks like one of these old paperweights that used to be fashionable but are only collectors items nowadays. The composition and the subdued colors work really well in this photo.
Kerrowdown : I can’t figure out what would be imperfect in this photo other than that it is not raining in Scotland or that Nessy just went under the surface of the lake. Nice moody landscape nevertheless, pretty much how I imagine the Scottish countryside to be.
Jacamar : i do love wilted flowers and this is a good example. The nice old yellow f these spring flowers against a darker background works well. By the way, I saw the next photo of the Queen station stairway in your Flickr account which also would have worked 🙂.
Djb47 : are you sure it’s not the hammer or the hammerer. The hammer does not look professional to me 🙂 as it has a plastic handle and comes with a warning label. What kind of hammer comes with a warning label is the first thought that popped onto my mind seeing this photo. I like the composition of the shot and the fact that there is still one straight nail creating a imperfect imperfection.
Yaki : trees and forests, something I really like. I don’t get to see many of them these days due to reasons (forests that is and not trees). These fallen trees always are a good opportunity to get some spooky shots if you go in on an early morning when there is a bit of fog. You chose a sunny day and it works really well I must say.
Noelcmn : well, he got the color right, so that would be not imperfect. I have Moroccan tiles in my kitchen that are only slightly darker, but that red. And the little slip of the brush on the light switch just adds character. Unless the rest is immaculate obviously. Nice catch though and the minimalistic composition works very well.
Pacerr : nice catch and the editing shows indeed the fleeting nature of nature. But somehow I think there is a bit more then 2 days inbetween these two photo’s. Like Yaki said, both thruths are real, but I would prefer the right one. I think this would be a good addition for a gallery.
Hattifnatt : the notorious tub in a meadow. I think you see them in a lot of places (at least overhere in the Netherlands you can encounter them). I like the setting of this one in the sunset. I would almost be inclined to say this is perfection. But the tub is rusty which gives the imperfection in this shot. Good eye I must say as this moment can not have lasted very long.

Special HonorableMention : Kerrowdown for showing us that it can be dry in Scotland (apart from the whiskey obviously)
