Project 52-10-41: Break The Rules
Posted By: djb47, 06-17-2022, 05:32 AM

It pays to know the photography rules but it also pays to know when breaking photography rules makes sense. Which of these rules can you break for better photos?

The Rule of Thirds Don’t Center Your Subject Fill the Frame with Your Subject Shoot at Eye-Level for the Best Perspective

The Rule of Odds Avoid Blur in Your Photos Create Depth Throughout the Frame Only Amateurs Crops Their Photos

The Rule of Space Keep the Horizon Completely Straight

It can be difficult to start breaking photography rules. After all, everyone talks about the rule of thirds, the rule of space, and more. But if you are willing to break the rules, then you’ll may find that your images become more impressive and much more unique. So don’t be afraid to do some rule-breaking!

Photos for Project 52-10-41 are to be taken and posted between Jun 17 - Jun 30.

Lets see if I can find some time for this one. It has been a while and not for lack of wanting to participate.

This turned out a bit harder than expected to get an okay image. Broken rules: busy background, pair of subjects looking out the screen and centered in the frame.
