Welcome to Weekly Challenge #592 - DOGS

Thanks Green&White for an interesting challenge last week and to all who participated. I could think of nothing better so in the spirit of the last challenge, I want to see dogs, all shapes and sizes, the more the merrier!

The fine print:
Every week, a new theme is picked and judged by the winner of the previous week.

The Challenge will run until midnight next Monday, October 17, whichever time zone you are in.

Rules
1. Post ONE photo.
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose one of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus an additional day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax camera can be used.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.
9. In case the winner of a challenge is unable to become the judge for the next challenge, they will PM the #2 winner for that person to be the judge.

More curious then guarding.

Welp, I was hanging around with a friend and her corgi, Muffin, who at some point, decided to stop and go lay down and roll around in the grass. Welp, who was I not to shoot that?

Here you go, all in one photo. This scan was done with a low-grade "it." brand "FilmScan35" of a 35mm slide originally shot with a P3N and a soft Tokina 28-70 f3.5 zoom during the winter of '90-'91. No apologies for the low quality from me, I was driving through a small village in northern Saskatchewan when I pulled over to take the picture from a distance so I wouldn't influence the dogs to move. I have several digital photos of dogs of much higher technical quality, but none with this serendipitous combination of natural posing and interesting context.
