Everyone who posted an entry in this challenge deserves an honourable mention, but I have to pick the top three. I like photographs that produce an emotional response, and I got that from every entry. Some of them used the juxtaposition of cloud(s) and land and/or water to good effect; others used colour, contrast and light in creative ways; all of them are excellent interpretations of this challenge's theme.


#1: hcarvalhoalves Reminds me of a painting by the "Old Masters", minus people. I really like how the light, colours and rising thunderheads convey a sense of power




#2 atupdate This uses a few different techniques to great effect, the silhouette contrasted with swirling colours and texture give a sense of motion and mystery.



#3: noelcmn Great light and colour, with magnificent clouds, made me think of Matthew 24:30

Congrats hcarvalhoalves, what a fantastic image, full of energy and wonderful color. Worthy winner which I knew would be a contender when I first saw it!
