Thanks to Gump for hosting and Judging last weeks Challenge #605, and choosing my entry as the winner.
This weeks challenge is for images that represent/show/interpret idiomatic expressioins. A bit of background-I taught language to two children and one of the techniques I use is simple reading and comprehension, and in which idiomatic expressions play a large role. Sometimes it helps to have an image that shows that idiom. There are plenty of them or you can use these lists :
95 English Idioms You Should Know to Sound Fluent | FluentU English https://www.ef.com/wwen/english-resources/english-idioms/
I am so looking forward to your creative interpretation of the challenge. And if perchance you post an image of actual dogs and cats falling from the sky (raining cats and dogs) expect a visit from the local SPCA

A few examples from my collection;
Penny for your thoughts/penny wise, pound foolish/ A penny saved is a penny earned
A bird in the hand is worth
Every cloud has a silver lining
Birds of a feather
Let Sleeping dogs lie
The grass is always greener
These are of course ENGLISH idioms, and we recognise that there are others from different cultures and languages, I welcome these, provided there is some interpretation of the idiom/proverb. For e.g. An old African Proverb goes, "you can't eat an elephant in 1 Day", meaning some things take time. I'll not bore you with an image of an Elephant.
THE CHALLENGE WILL CLOSE AT MIDNIGHT ON THE 19TH MARCH 2023 IN YOUR TIME ZONE, AND JUDGING HAPPENS THE NEXT DAY.
The fine print:
Every week, a new theme is picked and judged by the winner of the previous week.
Rules:
1. Post ONE photo.
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose one of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus an additional day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax or Ricoh camera can be used.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.
9. In case the winner of a challenge is unable to become the judge for the next challenge, they will PM the #2 winner for that person to be the judge.
GOOD LUCK
