Weekly Challenge #611 - Monochrome

Thanks to jcdoss for hosting Challenge # 610, i really liked the subject and the photo’s entered.
This week's subject is "Monochrome”. As Pentax came out with the new K3-3 Monochrome I thought it might be a good subject for this weeks challenge. I was myself thinking of obtaining one, but for the moment I changed my mind as I already have a debayered K3 gunmetal. Obviously the eneterd photo’s do not necessarily have to be taken with a debayered camera as these are not very common. As always, I am not a guy for the technical details, so send what you think is good no matter the technical conventions.

This challenge will end on April 26 midnight Amsterdam time.

Rules:
1. Post ONE photo.
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose one of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus an additional day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax or Ricoh camera can be used.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.
9. In case the winner of a challenge is unable to become the judge for the next challenge, they will PM the #2 winner for that person to be the judge.

To me this shot really needed to be done in a monochrome palette to focus attention on the shapes, shadows, and textures.

Pentax K1 Mono from last week.

I had seen the car by the road a day earlier and had thought about turning around for a couple of shots, but it looked busy and traffic was moving quickly. I decided instead to get out before daybreak and do a night shot, which worked out better because there was also a very light rain to add sheen and reflections.

Note: The actual time was over an hour earlier. I managed to screw up the time when updating settings.
