Project 52, Week 31 - Numbers
Posted By: DanLoc78, 01-05-2009, 06:12 AM

Rules:

1. Anyone and everyone who is interested is eligible
2. Make an attempt to effectively capture the theme of the week
3. Post your single picture in this thread, and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme
4. Some post-processing is OK (adjusting white balance, exposure, color saturation) but let's try to stay away from heavily PP'ed images here. let's try to keep the creativity to photographic techniques and the captures themselves
5. There is one theme labeled black and white, but feel free to post black and white, sepia, etc. for any of the other themes
6. Have fun, provide constructive and friendly criticism, and fire away
7. You may post pictures taken before the current active week; however, only photos captured during the active week will be judged.

This week's theme will run from today until Tuesday, January 13th.

Garth, must be some thousands of horsepowers from the orange monster, good capture.

Bruce, I see the numbers, or was it signs?

From summertime's annual marathon at KM23, click to enlarge

Everyone's got a number, but it's a personal challenge

Keep on running, Georg (the other)

It is unlikely that I'll be able to get out this week, too much "stuff" in my life. However one from last spring. Titled "1891" for obvious reasons. Shot thru a chain link fence on the Manhattan side of the Manhattan Bridge.

Hello to everyone,

Here is a photo taken in an old town of Bulgaria.

The name of the photo is "18A" as the address of the house.

I hope you like it

I want to say that I've seen this photo somewhere else derius. I'm wondering where I might have seen your photos before? DPReview? Either way I like it!

This roadstone can be found near road 276 north of Stockholm. The crown with "G III" refers to king Gustaf the third of Sweden, which makes the stone roughly 200 years old, and the text says "3 mil to Stockholm". These are old Swedish mil (don't confuse it with English miles) which equals 10688,54 meter.

Something from my freshman college chemistry book. I still find it hard to believe that after getting a grade of 'C' in this class I ended up majoring in chemistry and have worked as a chemist my whole career.

This wasn't taken this week so it isn't eligible for judging.

Whats your favorite number?

Here is my entry for this week.
I ran across a pic similar to this on another photo site. Since the weather is not all that great this week in SE PA, this simple pic idea was right on time.
DA 18-55mm, ISO 200, Exposure 1/200, f/5.6.
Enjoy
