WEEKLY CHALLENGE # 625- Something on the horizon · **2 Likes**

Thanks to Matthew Ecker for hosting #624 and choosing my image as the winner, I'm always humbled by this. For this weeks challenge I am looking for images of something on the horizon and expect/looking for some kind of clear delineation between earth and sky. Or water and sky. Or mountain and sky. But one that features an object- building, animal, technology , transport, humanity. Whatever! I look forward to your submissions. Good luck

THE CHALLENGE WILL CLOSE ON SATURDAY 2 AUGUST 2023.

Rules:
1. Post ONE photo.
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose one of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus an additional day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax or Ricoh camera can be used.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.
9. In case the winner of a challenge is unable to become the judge for the next challenge, they will PM the #2 winner for that person to be the judge.

This is a great challenge Noel for which I had to make a choice out of a number of photos. The one I chose is on the beach just outside our beachhouse in Tunisia and it came closest to the challenge as it features the “object” on the literal horizon

. Oh it also has 10 birds to add to the photo.

Here's one from two years ago. We had lots of fires around us that summer, and I was experimenting with and old Tamron 500mm mirror lens that I got dirt cheap.

I took a lot of sunset photos with it, but I don't think I've posted this one here yet.

Kata Djuta (Formerly The Olgas) in Central Australia, an hour or so after sunset. Locals pointed out the resemblance to a sleeping Homer Simpson.
