This is the first time I've ever had to judge photos against each other - can't say I'd want to do it too often! It's such a personal thing, I showed the photos to my workmates and they all chose a different winner! So laying my soul bare ( ) here's the results-

3rd place - Arjay Bee with this-

2nd - slipchuck (Randy), with this-

Which is great capture, and we've already discussed at length in the photos forum.

1st place - SupremeMoFo, with this-

I love it, great show of speed, and pretty clear considering. This was also chosen by one of my workmates.

Congradulations! MoFo on first place. It is one great photo. I especially admire the skill it too to get it.... after many tries at panning I have a long way to go to capture one like yours. especially impressed on how sharp it turned out with such nice colors.

Slipchuck - you just have to shoot so many to get a couple of photos that succeed in giving you the sense of motion you want. I took 350 photos that day, probably ~100 of them were panning attempts (all 1/100s) - 3 of them I thought were a success.

Great shots and sports photos are really difficult
