Taken on Christmas Eve, many years ago. Just a tea light holder my mom puts out at Christmas, with some other Christmas lights in the background. Taken with my K10D and 16-45 f4, when both were actually current.

I took these about a week ago. This was with the K-3 and the DA* 16-50 SDM. The DA* lenses are the reason I will never part with the K-3 despite having upgraded to the K-1ii. Both are taken with the aperture as wide as I thought I could get away with in order to get maximum christmas light balls. I had a helper do things cats are interested in while standing out of frame.

I see I'm not the only one to feature a cat in my entry

This was taken on Christmas Eve 2020... we were sorting out a few bits and pieces for the dining table, in readiness for lunch on the big day. On my way back from the kitchen, I found "Boo Boo" precisely where he shouldn't be, sat right there on the table I quickly grabbed my old K-5 and SMC FA50/1.4 from the kitchen (the nearest camera I had to hand) while my Mum kept Boo entertained, and got back just in time to capture this shot of him looking at Mum

I can't now remember why I decided that B&W would be a good treatment, but don't regret the choice...
