bbpa103 - Very well done series . The bridge shot is my fav . Thanks for sharing .

Toshi - cool nature shot ! The first one is quite catchy . How is that Discain grip work for you ? I'm looking for a DS grip . Know anything ?

Virgilr - Great product shot . This what I'm sucks at . One light only ?

Dave - Hahaha ! I need a new face too ! Look like a great place to spend time shooting . Dinner was good . I try to eat more veggies . But with all the butter and bacon I add to them ... well..

SharonS - Well done ! Thanks for joining POTW !

Well one more thing I'm sucks at : Birding

I have never saw them at my local parks . Or should I be there more often ?

Thanks daacon and dantuyhoa- as far as product shots go, I did some better ones for my friend with proper aperture and greater DOF, but this one was just fun and I liked the angle.

Daacon, that shot of Jasper so reminds me of back home!

I grew up in the Bitterroot valley in western Montana, south of Missoula, where I attended (some) University at U of M. My dad was a traveling salesman for a while, and his territory was Montana and Wyoming... talk about great adventures when I was between 11 and 13! I think I've been to every grain silo/ post office/ bar town in both states!

Dantuyhoa- actually, I made my own softbox with a big cardboard box, 4 100watt compact flourescent spirals, a bunch of tinfoil and some white liner material bought at the fabric store. So I used the softbox and a halogen desktop lamp to get up some "fire" in the crystals.

What a great collection this week Sometimes I take an old lens out so he doesn't get feeling neglected. I took out the old a-35-70 f4 the other day it is very flare resistant

Thanks Dave. Lately all I've been shooting are ducks, gulls, and other birds. I guess that's what happens when I use my DA*300 as my walkaround

Hi Tran, thanks for the comments.

I purchased the Dicain grip about 2 years ago and I have no complaints with it. In my opinion, the build quality is really good and fitment is great. It matches the camera perfectly and looks OEM. With the grip, the DS feels great in the hand and it really helps in keeping the camera steady with longer/heavier lenses. Feature-wise, it comes with a built-in remote shutter release and tripod mount. For roughly $130, I think it's a great buy

Here is a couple of spiders I clicked this morning.I was intrigued by the colours of them.
Taken with K10d with Viv Series 1 105 Macro.

There have been some great shots this week. Well done all!
It was close to 45 deg C here today ( a real killer) so keep all those snow and ice shots coming, just what we need down here!

SharonS - welcome to POTW hopefully you will be a regular contributor - Nice close up of the 'dragon' the eye just pops almost literally. Love the bubbles one as well - good shots.

Tran - thanks for the comments - birding is tough I know and that is a pretty good start.

Virgilr - sounds like some good memories of days gone by. I am an air force brat so I got to see a bit of the country as well. While I as an adult have not moved around much (been in Alberta now almost 30 years) - travel is in my blood - my daughter has the same traits.

Wayne - nice stage lighting series - I don't think about set up when I go see a play but makes sense someone has to make sure it all works. Nice night shot as well.

Tom - nice landscape very level horizion (somehting I usualy have to fix in PP) - I see a person, a dog and of course a bird! Well done.

Bruce - nice spider man the fornt legs look nasty ! Could make a Sci Fi horror film with that subject. 45 Degrees !!! Ouch too hot for me hide in the AC !!! Have a quick look here to cool ya down https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/post-your-photos/46895-hking-snow-gary.html
