Thanks for the kind comments folks!

At least she had the sense to keep the lens cap on before picking it up and checking it out

BTW...she's a worse chimper than I am. Every shot...toddles over - looks at screen - points and says her name - then toddles back for me to take another. Pretty funny actually.

P.S. Here's another one from this morning. This one was taken with the Sigma70:

coffee - you posted a couple of great shots - you are a braver man that me, I would not have let my kids get there hands on my K20 when they were that young - but if you knew my kids, you wouldn't have let the either

Thanks for the comments gawan, Rense and Peter. Sorry for not replying sooner. It's been pretty hectic for the last couple weeks.
The photo is an Eskimo drum used for singing and dancing by Eskimos. It was once used by shamans too, but not exclusively by them.
Lot's of good images being posted once again. Keep'em coming.

Virgilr, nice captures. Strange staircase, indeed! I like those red pyamas in the cold snow.
Coffee, both your shots are great, but the first one is...well... breathtaking, in several different ways!
Tom, there's such a nice atmosphere in your sunset! It must be a place where one can find silence....

Still the West-Coast of the US and Alaska have time to send in their photos, but for the rest of us this POTW is over...Up to next week! That it will be a good one for all of you!

Best Regards,

Coffee! I love your child photos, the first is superb, tells all about how small children learn, by imitation! And thanks for the comments!

Wow Madmikes, that is a nice shot! I like the green of this reptile! The K20 is a nice machine, isn't it?

I'm getting used to it still, but yes, I do agree. It's heavier than my *istDL and the feature set is much fuller of course. I was quite happy with the reptile shot as it didn't seem to suffer from the back focus problem I was having that day. I've sorted that out since.
