Thanks daacon again
I did those yesterday evening just before I went to work and post them right after
I came home from this night shift I did. Again I continue to explore the world of boats and water and polarizer, reflections and the DA16-45.
The first one is with a Hoya Cir-polarizer, the second one was taken with a Super HMC UV filter. I really love this lens for this kind of work.

Thanks for hosting Dynamo Dave, you're just full of pep(pers).
Love the onion shots, they're making me cry.
The last one you should enter to this competition; https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/mini-challenges-games/56707-project-52-we...on-ladder.html

Planedriver, that first one is a great composition and I like the diagonals in the second one.

Here's a few from me. Warning, you are going to be seeing a lot of these lizards. They live in the woodpile where I sit and read my book at lunchtime. they must be getting used to me because a few weeks ago, there was just one, this weekend I counted five.
These are shots of three different lizards.
First one I thought looked best in B&W.
The next two are of a second lizard, the second of the two I missed focus a little but I thought it was worth including as it shows the lizard looking round at a possible meal (a small fly).
The final one is of the guy who has been there every day, he's so used to me I can get within a couple of feet of him. On this occasion he was showing off to me, pumping up and down and revealing his blue belly.

Old Churches

It is a tradition in my country to go on a "visita iglesia" (church visits) on Maundy Thursday. Well my family extended it to Black Friday since we made it a road trip to go to the province and visit some of the older historical churches.

Some shots from that memorable trip...

I posted a bunch of photos from a Sweet 16 I shot over the weekend here: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/post-your-photos/57098-lolys-sweet-16-many-pics.html

This was one of my favorites from that shoot...

Dave, if it wasn't for you, I wonder if this thread would still be running. Thanks again for hosting.
planedriver, love both shots but the yellow one is a fav. Nice work.
Cool shots Gary and I hope you can get some more shots of these little guys.
vinceloc, very nice series and the red carpet shot is a winner. Great location.
Nice shot Alan, The series is very good as well.

A few from me.
I liked the bold colours in this.
I somewhat 'stolen title from another member (Dadipentax) for this one might be "Double Helix"

From a portrait session this week.

Planedriver - nice couple of shots of boats. I love a cpl and water they do indeed work well together.

Garry (aka pun master) - nice - Lizard shots glad to see you are making new friends

Vinceloc - beautiful old churches - would like to see a little larger version - very sharp.

Alan - I missed that thread but had a look very nice work - I admire event photographers where you only get one chance. Nicely done. I like that shot as well - very content look.

Peter - well just doing my part to support a great idea. Very diverse series. Lcoe the colors in #1 , nice looking kid in #2, good eye in #3 and nice symentry in #4.

Thanks for hosting, Dave, the faithful POTW'er! Love the colourful paprika's!
Gary, amazing camouflaged lizards! I had to look twice in some photos, just to find the creature!
Great photos Vincent! Love especially the second last with the red carpet, great light!
Wonderful portrait Alan! Love that pose! Thanks for the link, great series!
Peter, nice contrast between red and black! Great expression on that boy's face!

It's been bad weather here, but today I was on the city's Winter Garden:

planedriver: i really like your first shot of the boat (maybe it can go too into the "balance"
minichallenge if it is still open)

gary, good luck in making friends, I guess by next week we will see new "members" of the club. the lizards must be curious about what you are reading, I am pretty sure

vinceloc, I like the 4th picture because of the nice colors and textures

alan, this is a very nice portrait and the shoting angle is great

peter, my fav is the one with red stairs, I think the composition is simple and strong.

dave, nice capture of the dog he looks ready to take a nap

gawan, well done, I like the second pic a lot but I think the third one is the best (colors, textures and abstract composition)

stratman: very nice portraits (I like the color one of your niece better - some playing with the levels of grays - lightness/luminosity
would help, the idea is very nice for bw )

now, some stuff taken recently, mainly "spring" oriented..

have fun shooting

@Peter: Thanks! BTW, love the spiral staircase

@Gawan: Thanks for the complement. Yours are beautiful shots, especially the second shot of the cactus group

@Dave: Thanks also! You can check out bigger samples on my Flickr site. (Please check again. I just reconfigured it to show all sizes.) Unfortunately, I don't post original sizes since I'm still using the free mode BTW, I love the geometrical structure of the railway/bridge shot.

@Sheela: Thanks!

Vinceloc - I'm not a church person myself but you have captured those beautiful old buildings beautifully.
Alan - I can see why you like it, nice work. SR works really well with stilts apparently.
Peter - Great studies in simplicity (I'm not suggesting that child is simple so don't start in on me) Jess really liked the stairs, I really liked the last one.
Dave - Nice, I like the the lighting in the second shot. I can sense you're tiring though, my dog yawns after I do as well.
Georg - Cacti and succulents are always worth photographing, good work.
Stratman - I like the conversion. Grandpa is a handsome dude, good capture. Last one, simple and very effective, it would make someone a nice business card if you cropped it to shape.
Sheela - Nice bokeh and the tree shot looks great.

First of my next set is a storm over the GGB.
Next are a couple of shots as the sun went behind the hills on Saturday night. they lost something in the downloading I'm afraid.

This was my favourite from the other night. It had the most colour because the sun had only just gone behind the hills.

Look at the larger version please.
