Weekly Challenge #95: "Crop a miniature landscape"

This will hopefully challenge your imagination and cropping skills... or it'll fall flat on it's face.
This is something I've done a few times with pictures and I've also done it a couple of times when I've taken the picture with the intention of doing this. I'm going to be looking for those that take the ordinary and make it a scene rather than just an image.
Here's an example of one of mine just to give you an idea, picture is worth a ...etc.

contest will close Tuesday, April 21 (7 days) I will post the judging results Wednesday, April 22

I'm looking forward to seeing what you can come up with.

_____________________________________
The rules are as follows...

1. Post ONE photo (max 1000x1000).
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme. It can be color or B&W, your choice.
3. Post your single picture in this thread, and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and chose 1 of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus a day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax camera will do or a Samsung DSLR.

As our intrepid traveler approached the end of his journey, he came upon the most unusual grove of tree or bush thingies growing at the edge of the precipice...

Pentax K10D, Voigtlander 125/2.5 @ f/13, 1/60sec, ISO100, fill flash, [edit:] 15% crop of frame

I also give it a try. I've discovered another landscape in the landscape picture I used to get this picture. It was below the water, but I found it...

not for judging just for fun

While looking at some of the entries verses from "Journey To The Center Of The Earth " came to mind . In keepng with the Jules Verne mind set I started working with this but the chalenge is LANDSCAPE not UNDER SEA SCAPE so just for fun and not judging:As the Nautillus ascended from the abyss , travelling over the stark white bottom it's course was blocked by a giant carniverous sea plant.

Fungal Jungle

I probably spent more time on this than the subject warranted but had fun regardless.

Hope this qualifies as a mini landscape, a miniature forest.

Will do here later as suggested once Gary posts winners; if you don't mind Gary?

No problem with that, in fact I don't mind if people do it now, it would make judging easier but I think it might be prejudicial to those who don't do it. I had thought about suggesting it at the beginning but I didn't want to take the challenge away from it's usual format.

Unfair funshmair... I wanna win! Lol. Just kidding. I thought the same thing... that it might make your task easier.

I know you were on the fence as to whether we should post them now. As this is a unique situation where you are a moderator I'll leave it to you to delete this if you decide against originals.
Actually, would you mind taking it down, I think yours in particular would be likely to influence me because of the source image.

What a great topic and so many interesting interpretations so far...
This is a shot from last spring - a patch of grass was 'pushing' its way up through a crack in an old retaining wall...

Hebrides Hermit Monk Cave

I dragged a rotten log into the lab, set up two desk lamps, one hand-held ring light, a rickety tripod and photographed the lichens on it with the 100mm Macro. At least one hundred shots later and I discovered I had missed the bus home!

I have an active imagination and can see a monk's cave on the windy rocky Hebrides Islands AND I can also see the monk's head with cowl. Wish my Photoshop Elements 7 skills were as active!
