Picture of the Week - 26-April-2009 to 10-May-2009 #60

Dave asked me to host the new POTW, so here we are, after two most successful weeks ever, let's keep the pace!

Rules as before:

1) No theme just your favorite stuff.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week .

4) Date : Sunday 04/26/09 - Sunday 05/10/09 Enter anything you shot last week or this current week until the thread closes.

Scott that are some pretty close up macros - not bad at all for hand held. I like horses and that is a good pose in the field of dandylions.

Virgilr - some noce abstracts. The colors are really good.

Georg - thanks for the comments. Nice guess close, it is the DA 35LTD. Good isolation on the leaves , love the way the light is hitting them.

dadipentak - like the first and last one the water droplettes are cool. The second one looks like it took a beating.

Thanks for the feedback, Dave! Really like some of your shots this week- esp. the shot looking up into the trees, and your candids..

eccs19, thanks for your observations. I really love your shots of the old buildings- that's the kind of thing that I long to shoot more, hopefully this summer when we go on day outings and such I'll try to get more landscapes with points of interest. I love old run-down buildings! It's always hard when you're not out on a mission to shoot, though, and you're just trying to have an enjoyable day.

dadipentak - nice flower shots!
Dave - I should have guessed, FA24 is hard to find, but I just saw it somewhere, looks a bit like it!

BTW. guys, I sent Jeremy (jezza323) a PM late in yesterday evening and asked if he could host the next POTW, but I he has not responded yet. Also as he lives in Australia, I am afraid he already missed the opportunity, it is night time there. He may also be at work on Monday so it could be that starting the new POTW may be late... I think it would be better not to delay the start of the next POTW.

I was wondering if I should ask someone else, and we could reserve the second next to Jeremy later then.

What do you think?

(Virgil seems to be on line just now so maybe he could simply take over? Sent him a PM)

I hope some geese will be by soon and watch him until they come back.

Wow Georg, you're specializing on swans. With effort, I must say, this one is superb! Didn't he attack you ?
