Sorry for the late results I really do apologize. Being a judge is a new experience for me but I am going to do my best!!!
Dan said I could judge how I wanted so there is no runner up.
3rd Place is a tie!!!
xjjohnno: With "Olives"
&
legacyb4: With "Cheese"
I am a reflections kind of person. I like the way the lights show up in display
glass. It gives you an idea of space to the room. But I took it away from a solid
third all by itself for composition points. The plastic shopping bag detracted a bit
from the pic.
This also could of been a solid third but I would have liked to see the shot a little
more close up, with the sharper part of the image a little more towards the front
and not cropped so narrow. But I can see that it was a dark place to take a shot
like that.
2nd Place
Nico: "Smelly Fish"
Her expression says it all!!!
I like that as you look up in the photo you go more towards the back of the
store. Also, I like the how the prices of the fish for sale create a kind of halo that
go up and around her, it was a good set up weather it was planned or not.
I also like the guy in the back..he's like..."Hey waddya' want from me."
I really wanted to give this picture first place but I honestly believe after looking
at this photo for a long time, this photo could have been sharper.
1st Place
kevindt: "Farmers' Market"
Although the colors are not the highlight of this pic, things are sharp where they
need to be and this pic to me has some pop (depth wise). This photo captures
the essence of a dreary day at the farmers market. And the guy who looks like
he is just "browsing" I bet, has a million stories to tell if you got to know him.
That's what speaks to me with this pic.
