Welcome to Picture of the Week 06/14/09 - 06/28/09 #67

It was a resounding success last week as well as the week before and before that and (well you get the idea I will not repeat this 66 times )

You can see last weeks POTW Here.

All of the past POTW's are now linked below under the name of the host. So it's easy to go back and view some past weeks. (Thanks to Peter Zach for getting this started)

Rules as before:

1) No theme just your favorite stuff.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week.
3) Any Pentax camera is fine, film, P&S, DSLR (or Samsung DSLR)
4) Date : Sunday 06/14/09 to Sunday 06/28/09. Enter anything you shot last week or during this current week until the thread closes.

THis little guy was not too bothered by me at all seemed way more interested in the bird seed and peanuts my dad puts out for him.

My dad also got a new little friend a few weeks ago.

Sitting in the shade with the DA* 16-50 on this is the best humming bird shot I got - I had no warning he showed up and then took off

And in honor of Father's day here is my father

I wouldn't have guessed is was a circular. I've got one, but I only ever thought to use it to kill reflections on windows, water, etc. I'll have to play with it.
It does well in harsh daylight that is where I use it more than water as I don't live near any big bodies of water , and works great on the sky colors give it a go

Love those clouds, Dave.

Just snaps but certainly had a ball watching these two "boys of summer" ham it up this weekend. I'm pretty sure we're all doomed once these two cousins grow up a bit.

Had to do a lot of things today (cutting the grass etc.)but couldn't resist to do some more boat-shots with the F35-105. Yes Dave as you mentioned before it opened up a new perspective:

and tried some flower with it's macro setting( flowers are not my bread and butter)

Jim - thanks for the comments. Indeed those cousins look like trouble - actually they look like most of us want to feel - not a care in the world well done.

seacapt - ahh progress that does look rather run down. Hopefully the developers will be as kind to the environment as possible.

Scott - wow that first one is frightening in a high school you say ! I am sure most of the students feel like that on occasion Love the laughter of the little girl in the last one.

Andras - it's always good to get a new perspective - nice shots as always. Some of those boats sure have bright colors.

jezza323 - excellent Duck shot very sharp and detailed. Nice DOF on the water lillies as well.

Oldschool - times gone buy those are great shots of what we all should never forget and hopefully never experience.

pop4 - a very simple yet striking shot I really like the colors and framing.

xjjohnno - very cool artwork - I like the flowers (4th picture I cannot see ?). Good shots of the bird. It's hard when they hide in the branches like that - patience you will be rewarded

Some poor NYC taxi driver had a long drive from Manhattan to the desert (F35-105)

Kat'z eye our cat is not very knowledgeable about photography as suddenly (he)(she) it moved out of the minimum focusing distance of my FA50 1.4. Anyway I like result.

Couple more from me.

My company's summer get-together was this past Saturday and a local amusement park. It rained most of the time we were there, but we managed to get a few rides in.

1. View from an overhead ski lift ride:

2. A Broadway review:

3. The 4-year-old hunting the Red Baron:

4. The rain wouldn't go away:
