Once again same rules and really other than time frames there are no rules

1) No theme just your favorite stuff.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week.
3) Any Pentax camera is fine, film, P&S, DSLR (or Samsung DSLR)
4) Date : Sunday 07/19/09 to Sunday 08/02/09. Enter anything you shot last week or during this current week until the thread closes.

The last of my Vegas shotos taken on Sunday 19th July - click on image for larger view

The stage for Le Reve at the Wynn (another Cirque water show)

A night view of Treasure Island

Yep I quit my day job and decided to open a bar in downtown Vegas

And the reason most come to Vegas visions of winning - this was sweet , our last day and we (well my wife) won a little bit of money. Enough to come home with some and that is a win

Let the posting begin

xjjohono - Yes I was that makes sense as that combo has never been a problem before.

Tom - ahh the heron expert has identified the bird in question nicely done. Great shot of the GBH - what a long neck they have gets real thin in the middle the fish must be somewhat digested before they get there. Then again I am sure it expands to meet the food supply.

captmacq - Nice fisrt one playing a little hide-n-seek. Love the train series. The color one is my favorite.

Kevin - Thanks for the comments. Indeed LV was fun. And this trip was unexpected (family commitments) out annual pilgrimage is in October so yep back again. Nice Robin and Squirrel . Over 100 that is too damn hot for me. Hope you are keeping cool with AC or in the water somewhere.

xjjohonno - nice series. First one is a tad dark. Next two are very nice.

Kevin - Nice Macro ! Great job of catching the spider busy at work.

Stratman - nice to see ya join in. Noce shots. Hope the fish were bitting in that lovely stream.

Thanks guys for the info. I never knew there were Green Herons. The woods behind my daughters house are full of them. Yes Gwan, all 4 shots are of the same bird. I wanted to get as many different angles and all the coloring and marking to help identify them better. I guess this gives me a good excuse to get some longer glass.

Some nice work everyone. As is typical for me at this time of year, I do almost no personal shooting. But a new toy arrived at my door today and I had to test it out. It's going to take some getting used to. Fast enough to see in the dark.

There are some very good shots here this week but I gotta say, Stratman, that last shot is perfect. You nailed the twisting river under the trees. To my eye, it's one of the better landscape shots I've seen in awhile. Just makes you want to sit by the river and quietly enjoy life.

You have got to go back there at dawn or dusk with a tripod and see what it looks like during the 'Golden hours"

My favorites for the week: A trip with my 50mm 1.7

I wish the focus on this was a little better.
