Picture of the week #85 Oct 18 - Nov 1 2009
Posted By: Peter Zack, 10-25-2009, 07:10 PM

So it's time to see your stuff from last week and this upcoming week.

Thanks Rense for the POTW. Nice stuff last week posted here

Again same rules and really other than time frames there are no rules

1) No theme just your favorite stuff.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week.
3) Any Pentax camera is fine, film, P&S, DSLR (or Samsung DSLR)
4) Date : Sunday 10/11/2009 to Sunday - Sunday 10/25/2009. Enter anything you shot last week or during this current week until the thread closes.

Previous hosts: (each one is a hotlink to that POTW thread to look past at the previous 83 weeks. Peter started the links, I know it had to be a lot of editing!!

Was out on Sunday testing a lens + TC combination and happened to get this shot of two surfers in close quarters.

Plus a few from Saturday's game:

regards,

Thank you Peter, for hosting this weeks POTW!

Some quickies from my backyard, seeking inspiration for P52 . All made with the A 100/4 macro wide open.

We're catching quite a few breaks from our normal wet fall weather; here's a triplet from the past few days. The leaves are falling hard and fast due to the wet and windy weather.

One from the Dog agility fun day I did a shoot at. Based on how high this jump was, I'd say it's fair to guess this dog was a beginner.

I took a break from my job search yesterday to spend a few hours at the Japanese Garden in Portland. The fall colors were just past their prime, but still very pretty. Here are a few selected images.

The Flat Garden...Leading Lines

Pentax K10D, KMZ MC Zenitar 16/2.8 FE

Flaming Branches

Pentax K10D, Pentax-FA 35/2

The above image represents one of the rare occasions where I have used the in-camera RAW conversion. A little over the top maybe, but not bad...

The "Old Man"

Pentax K10D, Pentax-FA 35/2

The Diamond Pool

Pentax K10D, Pentax-FA 77/1.8 Limited

Thanks! There is such an illusion of movement and depth and licking flames that I just had to post it!
