Weekly Challenge #20 - Water
The next weekly challenge is water.

Any picture where the element 'water' is the main actor. A fountain, a water drop, a landscape water scene, anything with water on it. Just go out and be creative.

4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and chose 1 of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. The challenge runs for 7 days plus a day or so for the judge to choose the winners.

I was shooting at a spring runoff at a river rapid. Noticed a large rock that had this wave pushing back upstream. I liked the texture and velvet look to the water's surface, the simple lines. Taken with Sigma 50-500mm at f11, 1/250 460mm. hand held. Love the K10D's SR!!

I had a really hard time deciding. I'm amazed at the quality of pictures I am now getting with my K100D vs. my K1000 film which was a trial and error learning camera. I've taken just under 200 shots so far and most turn out extremely well - I love the preview feature before saving to memory card.

This photo was taken on Signal Hill in St. John's, Newfoundland, one of the oldest cities in North America. I just left the gym and waited for the sun to rise at around 5am. In the distance where the large iceberg is located is Blackhead Cove. Further to the left and off the picture is Cape Spear, the most Easterly point in North America. Below is Fort Amherst on the opposite side of the St. John's Narrows, gateway to the Atlantic Ocean.

Guess I'll add one.

Taken with 16-45 @ F22 for 5 seconds, also used neutral density filters.

Sunset at the harbor

We took our grandson to The Harbor to play in the fountain. We were there at sunset and I caught this picture. The iso was set to 800 because the light was failing as the sun was going down. I turned around and saw this shot, so I took it. Shot with my *ist DL2 and a Tamron 28-200 at 28mm, F/9.5 @ 1/1500

So many wonderful shots. Like Stu (and, I assume others) I have lots and lots and lots of water shots. Here's one I like with water in two of it's states. An interesting ice formation around a branch hanging over a small waterfall.
DS, DA 50-200 lens, f32 at 1/15sec.

Reclining Nude

With all the beautiful ocean, river, falls shots you all have posted, I decided to give you a reclining nude, where the subject is water.
