Picture of the Week 91 : 29 Nov - 13 Dec 2009
Posted By: daacon, 12-06-2009, 08:00 AM

Must be my turn again eh ? Hey this is a weekly thread that spans two weeks (confused yet ) We all know the rules and the point is to post post and then post.

Thanks to Peter for hosting last week it can be Found : Here

Welcome to the picture of the week. Show us your best (and worst) stuff

Picture of the Week 91 : 29 Nov - 13 Dec 2009

This is by far my favorite thread as we get to see some shots from around the world so with the christmas season upon us time to up the shutter count and show us what your part of the world is doing.

Again same rules and really other than time frames there are no rules
1) No theme just your favorite stuff.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week.
3) Any Pentax camera is fine, film, P&S, DSLR (or Samsung DSLR)
4) Date : Sunday Nov - 22 to Sunday - Sunday Dec - 6 2009. Enter anything you shot last week or during this current week until the thread closes.
Previous hosts: Each one is a hotlink to that POTW thread to look past at the previous 90 weeks.

Hey Johnno, cool looking blowie! I'll drag the Viv out and go hunting. Quite the opposite from all the great winter shots this week.

@ reeftool, yep that's the daughter.

The Hometown Christmas parade shots looked, eerr cool. Over here we would have as many flies as snowflakes!

A crop from the 35~105 in macro (some sort of mostly harmless Northern American snake):

Still cold, still inside , plan to get out the house this weekend if for nothing else to go shop with the masses

My wife walked by the "office" this morning saw me and had to take a picture (Dave you need help haha) I am almost running out of ip addresses (add in another computer downstairs , and XBOX360 and an Itouch) ...

In fairness the one in my hand is my daughters (had a Win 7 64 bit printer dirver issue) , The one over my left shoulder I am finished with and giving to my Nephew for a case of beer , and the yellow one I am rebuilding for my son, as for the others well .... haha couple work desktops and couple work laptops like having an spare camera body ....

BTW that is indeed how i look first thing in the morning and I am still married ;D

Click om image for larger view as if it is not fightening enough already !

This fellow came out tonight. Rather late so lighting was a little difficult.

Dale, your friend did you a great service as the a series 35-105 is one of (if not the best) zoom (macro)lenses made by Pentax and is worth an easy 200 on the second market if in decent condition. The colors and sharpness are incredable so use it and get used to it and your work will smile for the effort.

Been on a bit of a hiatus for photos due to the excessive cloudy weather we've been having. This past week has been nice though and I managed to get out and into the mood again.

Thanks Ken. That shot was handheld, behind glass and cropped to near 100% I don't think I've been out enough with the 35~105 yet to even remotely do it justice!

Dave, I have to say, those snow shots in your street, are just mind blowing.
I cant imagine trying to cope with something like that. All that shovelling must keep you rather in trim, I would imagine.
Very cooling photos to view in our heat though, and thanks for that.
